Rhonda SG av!!! I've been tossing and turning in bed this past few nights, working up a hot sweat in the balmy, hot nights here, thinking of... ... ... ... ... ... ... whether I should attend the Evanescence concert alone afterall!
av98m SG We have an audit going on now so I confirm stuck here. Say, I finally put together something resembling a blog. Take a look and comment leh http://pressshutter.blogspot.com/
honeymouse SG You don't need to be with Telstra's mobile to subscribe to Big Pond. I am with Telstra on everything (home phone, mobile, foxtel and big pond) but it doesn't seem to be any cheaper. I can't switch mine as I am on a contract.
Rhonda SG Wah! I love the photos there! Maybe when I FINALLY, that is, IF and WHEN, get a PC, I shall update my blog and give you the url!
Rhonda SG I know... but cheaper if I am. I'm already on Telstra for my home phone, and that will already give me a few benefits when I subscribe to Big Pond. But if I switch to Telstra Mobile as well, I'll have even bigger discounts! However, I'm a tad unwilling to do so. Doesn't SingTel have a stake in Optus? Sarport Singapore, Inc!
Rhonda SG I started a blog named "Project Love Melbourne" before I left SG and never had a chance to update it at all since I arrived here. But, maybe, I ought to change the title too, come to think of it. Maybe, to "Project Discover Melbourne" or something a bit tamer. I don't exactly LOVE Melbourne yet... takes time for love to develop one.
Rhonda SG Well, currently, it's : Aussies 1 vs Singapore, Inc. 1 because it's Telstra 1 and Optus 1. Draw. I have to say, after eight months here, I've seen the good and the bad and maybe, it's a case of absence making the heart grow fonder cause I do miss home. However, I'm staying put! Will return for visits but don't think I can ever stay there in SG again! I prefer the lifestyle here and once I get over the teething pains and get settled down, I'm sinking my roots here. Even if not here, somewhere else but definitely not SG.
av98m SG I remember not wanting to return after spending a few weeks at a relative's place in Perth. Its just sooooooooo different from the overcrowded pressure cooker here!
av98m SG bah, I've always felt Singapore's reputation as a so-called food paradise is largely undeserved
honeymouse SG Yes, Optus owned by Singtel. I am not sure how much benefits we actually get by combining all the bills. I won't use the home phone to make international phone calls, cheaper with just the phone card. Also, if you want to get all the benefits, you need to convert your phone rental to be homeline plus $29.95/month (if you are on the cheapest plan). Anyway, just sharing what I know with you....
Rhonda SG Ah ha! That's where you are oh so wrong! #1 : I can cook. #2 : If I can't cook it, I have the recipes for it and so, refer to #1 again! #3 : I can find most ingredients here! If I can't find something, I can improvise so, refer back to #1! #4 : There are plenty of Singapore / Malaysian / Asian restaurants here! So, yeah... not ever returning to live in Singapore again. I can't, won't, shan't!
hisoka SG the taste is different. anywya you can get rid of missing the food by coming back for awhile once in awhile.
